Can anyone give me the craziest special editions manufacturers provide? The Impreza Casa Blanca and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! are already in my head.
I'm looking for those cars that look out of the norm and cool at the same time.

The Renault Clio V6 has got to be up there. They took the little Clio and turned it into a mid engined, rear wheel drive V6 monster.

Subaru has made its fare share of ugly special editions, behold: Impreza STI S201. VW also made Harlequin version of Polo.

Years before offering a normal passenger-focused dressed up version Land Rover or the Range Rover, they first dipped their toes in the market with the Series I 80 Tickford Station Wagon. A custom coachbuilt body from the firewall back, specialized lights, dressy interior, an ornamental tire cover, and even an optional tea set. Ride improvements? Not really. They went over like a lead balloon, generally, and from what I heard the UN ended up buying up a number of them cheap.

Here's a Casa Blanca I once found on a scrap heap. Pretty knackered.

Well, SAAB once built a few of these (11 is the number that comes up the most):
The 900 Enduro. It's not that crazy, but next to the rest of its lineup... :)
Question is, what do you consider special edition. Is an AMG special edition? What about the AMG Black? Dunno.
